IGF-1 LR3, also known as Long R3 IGF-I, is a synthetic analogue of insulin-like growth factor 1. Its structure includes an arginine substitution at position three and a 13-amino-acid extension at the N-terminus.
Published laboratory research indicates that these structural modifications result in substantially reduced binding affinity for insulin-like growth factor-binding proteins compared with native IGF-I. These characteristics have made IGF-1 LR3 a subject of experimental biochemical and cell-culture research. Reconstitution. Add bacteriostatic water slowly against the inside wall of the vial. Swirl gently to dissolve — never shake, as agitation can damage the peptide chain.
After reconstitution. Store refrigerated and use within the window appropriate for the compound under study. Do not freeze once in solution.
